Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thy fighter. She is currently a fighter with the UFC Flyweight division. She is the younger sister of former UFC Flyweight champion and fellow UFC athlete Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko began her professional journey as a Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the event and beat Suzane Milliner by unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko won another medal in 2007 and a bronze medal in 2008, a gold in 2011, and won as the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thai Champion in the year 2016. Antonia started her professional career in at the age of 2003. She took home the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships 2012 and the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships in 2016 as well as both the WMC World Championships as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by unanimous decision. Antonina shevchenko fought her first professional MMA fight in 2002 with Anara bayanova at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She was victorious via TKO during the 2nd round. She went on to win her 2 subsequent fights, both at WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. She was awarded an MMA record of 3-0. Shevchenko was absent from MMA in order to concentrate on her kickboxing, and she returned to the ring with Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa via unanimous decision and then defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. Following the league's dissolution in 2018, Shevchenko was a part of Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina showed off her power of striking by tying Nievera with knees. Antonina was offered the UFC offer after her victory. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters Finale, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the unanimous victory, however she was defeated in her next fight by Roxanne Modafferi via a split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from her loss and fought Lucie Prudilova in UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler who was able to win the fight by rear naked choke. It was the top fight of the night for the fight. Shevchenko was defeated by Katlyn along with Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She fought Ariane Lipski but she was also defeated by Ariane. Recently Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos vs. Walker via second-round TKO.
